Yum, BeatleStew!
A collection of songs put together in March 2003 - for my daughter Martha,and a friend named Josh - two fans of The Beatles who weren't there when it happened
but who delight in all the magic that the recordings continue to emit.
It begins with the Beatles doing a Buddy Holly song, then two songs byBuddy Holly, which leads into Big Daddy's version of "A Day In The Life", done Buddy Holly style. Amazing musical fun!
The remainder of the disc is primarily made up of different artists' versions of songs by The Beatles, from the sublime to the ridiculous, the latter of which is represented by William Shatner's "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds", which I still consider the worst recording ever made by a human being.
